The Village of Chase, "Home to the Big Horn Sheep", is located 56 kilometres (40 minutes) east of Kamloops on the Trans Canada Highway #1.
Chase offers all the amenities of a large city combined with the beauty of spectacular scenery. Many residents, preferring to live in a small community, commute to the nearby larger centres of Salmon Arm and Kamloops.
The majority of the residents of Chase are employed either directly or indirectly by the forestry industry. The area is also currently enjoying a growth in its tourism industry. A small portion of the community relies on other industries such as agriculture and the arts. There is a burgeoning group of local artisans gaining popularity in Chase and the North Shuswap area. Sorrento and Blind Bay host art and literary shows, retreats and workshops annually. Sorrento hosts a week long Festival of the Arts every year, for 20+ years.
