Hamilton is a city located in Canada, in the province of Ontario. It is currently the 8th largest census metropolitan area in Canada, with a population estimated at 714,900. [1] Within the city itself the population was 490,268 in the 2001 census. It is located roughly 45 minutes southwest of Toronto and 45 minutes northwest of Niagara Falls. It is also one of the main anchors of the Golden Horseshoe, a densly populated metropolitan area in Southern Ontario.
